SCAN A VARIETY OF MATERIALS

An Epson 12000XL-PH large format flatbed scanner is available for digitizing items such as print materials, photographs, slides, and negatives.

  • The scanner has a 12.2″ x 17.2″ scanning area.
  • Up to 2400 dpi optical resolution.
  • A transparency unit for slide/negative batch scanning and colour/grey cards for colour balancing are available by request. See our staff at time of booking.
  • Is hosted on a high-performance iMac computer.
    • Additional software is available for more advanced post-processing of digital images.
  • Use of our scanner is only available during the DSC's operating hours.

EXPORTING YOUR DIGITIZED FILES

TO EXPORT

Save your files to a USB or portable hard drive.
  • Files can be saved to your cloud, however the upload process will be time consuming.
To make this process more efficient, tips for exporting files include:
  • Save files to desktop.
  • Once all files are digitized, transfer to a storage device.
  • Delete your files off the desktop before you log out.
