Get Certified
COMPLETE ALL REQUIREMENTS
All media production + makerspace tools require the completion of a two-step certification process before use. You must complete all steps prior to booking your studio or tool.
The DSC will NOT approve any studio or tool bookings if the user has not fully completed their certification process; no exceptions will be made.
Step 1: Complete the Online Module
Each makerspace tool and studio certification module is available in Canvas:
- Self-enroll in our Canvas certification class below.
- Navigate to, and complete your chosen module.
- Users must achieve a grade of 100% on the final quiz to complete the module; multiple attempts are allowed.
Step 2: Complete a Check-In Session
Upon successful completion of the certification module, users must complete a check-in session at the DSC with our staff.
This check-in allows the user to demonstrate their knowledge of the equipment and provide an opportunity to ask staff any operational questions about the tool.
Please visit the DSC during the drop-in times indicated below to complete your certification check-in.
