Account Inquiries

Pay your Fines Online Borrowing and Fines Information

Please use the form to submit an inquiry about your account (eg. you returned an item, but it still appears on your account) or a fines appeal.

Lost Book Charges

Do you have a $ 150.00 Lost Book charge on your account? Do not pay the fee. Please contact us to discuss your options!

Did you pay the lost book fee but have now found the item? - A refund can be issued for lost material which has been found and returned within one year of the original payment.

Overdue Fines

Fines can be waived in special circumstances, such as a documented medical situation. Please note that the following are NOT acceptable reasons for waiving a fine:

  • Lack of awareness of library policies
  • Forgetting the due date, not renewing on time or the inability to renew online
  • Failure to receive an overdue notice email
  • Missing a due date because you are out of town

Most appeals will be resolved within 2-5 business days. Some appeals could take a bit longer as we search our library shelves and/or our library system records. We will contact you using the email address provide.

The information you submit to the Library is collected under the authority of Section 32.c. of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (Alberta).
