University of AlbertaExtension Student Library Cards
Extension students currently enrolled in the English Language Program (ELP), or a Certificate or Diploma Program, are entitled to a ONEcard and COPPUL card.
This ONEcard will be used to provide library services.
The library will not issue a separate library card.Please see http://www.onecard.ualberta.ca/info/extension.htm for further information on acquiring a ONEcard.
- Extension students pay a $10.00 fee for their ONEcard.
- Photo ID and confirmation of registration in the specified program is required to purchase an Extension ONEcard or to renew library privileges.
- Students must then bring their ONEcard and library registration form to the library to register for library privileges.
- An additional $10.00 fee is charged for 6 months of library privileges.
- Library services can be extended another 6 months, should they remain in the program, for a $10.00 fee.
Database access determined by AICT. ID's are arranged by Extension in conjunction with AICT.
The following policies apply to Extension Students holding ONEcards:
The loan period for most materials is two weeks. Periodicals may be borrowed for four days.
Fines for late return are generally $2.00 per day for books or periodicals. See fee schedule for more information
Charges for lost materials are $150.00 per item.
Extension students not registered in ELP, a Certificate or Diploma program (ESL) are considered to be members of the general public and are eligible for an external client's card (charges apply) and/or The Alberta Library (TAL) card (free to members of participating libraries).
